Starting a Business in the United States- 3 Clear Advantages

Starting a business and undertaking in the United States is simpler than you think, we have separated 3 advantages for you to invest in the North American market.
Although the international market is volatile, depending on the moment we are living, the United States is still the largest and most stable economy in the world, which is why Brazilian investors and entrepreneurs are increasingly attracted to position their product and/or service in the land of Uncle San.
After all, having the return on investment valued at the dollar rate, for example, is a clear benefit that Brazilian entrepreneurs can seek, below we separate 3 advantages of starting your business in the United States.

1. The United States Has a Strong Economy

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the United States had a real expansion of 5.7% in 2021, according to data published in February 2022 by the US Department of Commerce. In 2020, the US economy had contracted by 3.4% amid the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The same Commerce Department reported that the US GDP grew at an annualized rate of 6.9% in the fourth quarter of 2021, according to the first reading of the indicator. In the third quarter of 2021, the US economy had a much lower annualized expansion of 2.3%

This proves that, in addition to the faster recovery, the impact of a crisis on the daily lives of consumers and, consequently, businesses is also smaller compared to Brazil.

2. The return on investment is highly attractive

Nowadays, it is totally possible for medium and small companies to invest in the USA, in fact the number of Brazilians investing in the United States increases every year, this is because technological advances, such as online retail, facilitates this process in many ways, the operation is with a low cost, at the same time the dollar revenue is extremely profitable.
Just think about it, you can produce in REAL and sell in DOLLAR.
Of course, internationalizing a brand requires an initial investment, and having specialized advice makes all the difference, but no matter how much it is, the return, in dollars, usually makes it worth it quickly. After all, because of the currency quote, profits are boosted.

3. Migratory possibilities for those who undertake in the United States

L-1: American visa for entrepreneurs
Allows a company from another country to transfer a professional to manage a subsidiary and affiliated company in the USA. The company to be established in the USA:
-may be a new business;
– has no size restriction;
– does not need to be from the same segment as the Brazilian company;
– must, necessarily, have a team of collaborators to be managed by the person nominated for the L-1 visa.
The company can also nominate its own partners for the L-1 visa. In certain circumstances, the beneficiary may obtain a Green Card.

EB-5: US visa for high-income investors
The EB-5 visa is an investor visa that grants permanent residency to the applicant, their spouse and dependents under the age of 21.
– Common investment: 1.8 million.
– Investment in TEA (Targeted Employment Area, or areas of high unemployment): US$ 900,000.

In addition, it is also necessary to create at least 10 full-time jobs in the US, for a period of at least 2 years, and prove that the financial resources are legal.

E-2: US visa for entrepreneurs with dual citizenship
The E-2 visa is intended for investors who have citizenship in countries that participate in a commercial treaty with the United States. If you are Brazilian, but have citizenship in a nation that appears in the list of Treaty Countries, you may be eligible. In addition to nationality, other eligibility criteria are:

– opening a company in the USA;
-intention to go to the country exclusively to manage this company;

academic training and professional experience that support your ability to manage the business.

This visa does not impose a minimum investment amount, as in the case of the L-1. But it is recommended to employ at least US$ 100,000.
