On July 27, 2022, the first Doing Business In Brazil event for non-resident Brazilians took place.
The event was held by OneWorld International Partners with the support of Cerqueira Leite Advogados and the YMK – Negócios Imobiliários group.
The meeting took place in a private room via Zoom and was moderated by the executive director of OneWorld International Partners Karla Bledsoe who led the panel discussion between Dr. Ricardo Cerqueira Leite from Cequeira Leite Advogados, Daniel Magalhães and Paulo Spenciere from the YMK Group.
On the occasion, opportunities for real estate investment in the city of São Paulo were presented and the most effective and safe legal transmissions for Brazilians who do not live in the country to make their investments.
The main topics of the debate were:
-Estimated time from project start to completion
-Clarification on the recommendation to create an LLC for investments
-Tax aspect in case of renting or selling the property
-Problems related to CPF (if you have not been discharged when moving to another country)
